The Kneipp Walk inside of our adult-only bathhall is another way to experiences the healing properties of the geothermal water, by walking through a series of warm and cold water to improve circulation and aid in bodily recovery.

Contrast Bathing is an ancient healing practice that combines our mineral-rich hot springs with invigorating cold plunges to enhance your body’s natural Vitality, such as sore muscle recovery, rebuilding the immune system, increased circulation and reduced inflammation. 1. Soak in a warming pool (up to 15 mins)

Lockers are located next to the restrooms inside the Bathhouse, just past check-in. Lockers are an additional charge. There are two options: $10 for a small locker and $13 for a large locker. Note: lockers are included with a spa treatment.
We do! Showers are available in the Bathhouse locker rooms and the fitness center restrooms. There’s also showers along the beach for washing off mud and in the adult-only Bathhall.
Two towels are included per person with Day Pass purchases. Overnight guests receive two pool towels and two robes with unlimited towel and robe exchange during your stay.

There are currently 174 rooms ranging from cozy comfort to suites with private soaking tubs. Guests can choose from historic lodges like the Stone Lodge, Monterrey, and California buildings, or opt for the Hillside Suites with private pool access.

Pack your swimsuit, a couple of towels, flip-flops, and a water bottle to stay hydrated throughout your visit. Don’t forget sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat! You might want to bring a cozy robe or cover-up for moving between pools. Don’t worry about forgetting anything, the Bathhouse has all the above and more available to purchase!
Mostly, yes! Each pool varies in temperature and can range from around 50° to 104°+ Fahrenheit. Each pool is measured every two hours, and the temperature is posted so you can see before getting in. Except for the Blue Lagoon, Oasis, Roman Spa, Vitality Plunge and indoor bathhall, all pools are 100% all-natural, geothermal spring water that is found on property.

We have more than 20 pools with pure geothermal water that are hygienically managed to maintain the integrity and natural flowthrough; no additives are needed. For the Roman Spa, adults-only, family friendly and Historic Bathhouse water, chlorination is used to ensure compliance with the state’s standards.
Yes! Our spa services compliment the healing benefits of our geothermal waters. To fully rejuvenate, you are provided a with soaking access from 9am to 10pm. Access is single-entry, meaning the guest can choose to soak prior to or following their spa service. Eligible spa guests are welcome to check-in as early as 9 am the day of the spa treatment for access to the hot springs pools prior to their service or are welcome to soak after their treatments until 10p.m.; pools shall be cleared at 9:30 p.m. This also includes our adult-only amenities (indoor bathhall, panoramic cedar sauna, Kneipp & Reflexology Walk). You’ll be provided with a towel, robe and locker. Lockers are located inside the Bathhouse.
While we used to have mud baths on property more than 100 years ago, today we have a special Mud Experience on the beach daily where you can detoxify and enhance your skin. Just slather it on your body and relax while it dries—then wash it off with the beachside showers. Our unique blend of geothermal mineral water and bentonite clay from the Mojave Desert will leave you feeling revitalized.

For day pass and overnight guests, you can partake in our daily Gratitude Ceremony at 4 P.M. as we pause to connect with our geothermal waters and pay homage to the relaxation and health benefits it provides. We take a moment of mindfulness and remember what we’re thankful for. Then, we write our gratitude on water-dissolvable paper and place it in a jar filled with our geothermal water to intertwine our appreciation for the water and what’s in our hearts. Plus, the jar is a keepsake for you to take home!
In addition to the Gratitude Ceremony, day pass guests can partake in a Guided Vitality Plunge daily from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. You’ll be able to experience all the benefits of contrast bathing with guidance from one of our Wellness Instructors!
As an overnight guest, you can sign up for wellness activities here. If a class is sold out, inquire with the front desk the day of the activity or show up as a stand-by as we often have extra spots when people do not show up for the activity the signed up for.

Day pass hours are from 9 AM to 10 PM. You don’t have to arrive at 9 AM, but we recommend it so you can soak in the rejuvenate benefits to the fullest!
It’s recommended to bring flip flops, sunscreen, a water bottle, sunglass and a hat. You may bring a towel as well (two are included in a day pass). Don’t worry about forgetting anything, the Bathhouse has all the above and more available to purchase!
Each person wanting to purchase a Day Pass with the local rate must have a government-issued ID with a valid address and is for individual use only.
Lockers and robes are not included with a day pass, but both are available to rent for the day. There are two options: $10 for a small locker and $13 for a large locker. You may rent a robe for $20. (Psst, lockers and robes are included with a spa treatment. You can soak all day, too!)
